Jess is also a SANS Certified Instructor in Forensics, Intrusion Detection and Perimeter security among other specialties, teaching them regularly in Europe. Jess additionally collaborates with the SANS Institute in research projects, the GIAC certification program, courseware development, etc.
Jess worked for 10 years as a system, network and security engineer for the spanish National Aerospace Institute (INTA), where he had the chance to collaborate frequently as a security expert with space agencies (ESA, NASA) and other international government, research, educational and commercial organizations.
Among the broad spectrum of fields in which he has developed his professional activity, Jess specializes in Security Architecture, Incident Response and Forensics, Honeypots & Honeynets, Intrusion Detection & Prevention, Perimeter Security and Firewalls, UNIX Security, System & Network Security and Auditing, etc.
Jess holds a M.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering from the Univ. | Carlos Fragoso is a networking, systems and security engineer for Supercomputing Center of Catalonia (CESCA). He is responsible for Anella Cientifica (Catalan R&D network) and CATNIX (CATalunya Neutral Internet eXchange) proactive, reactive and value-added security services such as perimeter protection, infrastructure hardening, intrusion/anomaly detection, incident handling, etc. Carlos serves as the main incident handler of ERIAC Incident Response Team.|
He frequently participates as an instructor or guest speaker of networking and security topics on several master degree courses, workshops and conferences. Carlos is involved on national and worldwide security workgroups and incident response communities such as TF-CSIRT, FIRST, ABUSE-ES, UNISOG and NSP-SEC. He is a member of the Spanish Honeynet Project and he is currently leading a malicious activity analysis and incident handling initiative for the RedIRIS (Spanish R&D network) community. Carlos collaborates with the SANS Institute on several advisory boards and courseware development groups such as the Stay Sharp Program.

| Victor Chapela has over 20 years of IT experience. During this time, he has founded and managed five different technology related companies in Mexico and the United States. As CEO of these companies he has primarily been involved in the design and implementation of technological processes and software for the financial industry. He is a frequent speaker at international events and has been featured in several business and trade magazines. He currently serves as CEO of sm4rt, a highly specialized security consulting company based out of Toronto, Canada.|
As part of his previous experience Victor founded and operated DigiPro, one of Mexico's leading data and image processors, where he designed and implemented most of the software, processes and security checks currently in use. For eleven years, DigiPro has been processing mission critical data and documents for leading financial institutions like Citigroup, HSBC, Scotiabank, American Express, BBVA Bancomer, ING Bank, among others. He also founded and served as CEO of TrueCentric, a US based software company where he lead a development team of over 90 engineers in the creation of an AI-based customer relation software product for the financial industry. He has served in 12 different boards of directors in the technology industry.
Victor has been leading and actively participating in sm4rt's Security Audits and Pen Tests. In the last year he has given multiple security conferences and courses in Mexico, US and Europe.

Arrigo is also a Certified SANS Instructor teaching a variety of courses amongst which are Hacker Techniques and Incident Handling, Cutting Edge Hacking Techniques, Reverse Engineering Malware and Assessing and Securing Wireless Networks.
Arrigo has been consulting in the computer security field for 20 years and has extensive experience with most flavours of Unix specialising in network and application security analysis, secure network design and testing, Tiger Team and Incident Handling team training and bespoke security research. He has also been working with IPv6 networks for over six years with particular emphasis on IDS design and security aspects. Recently he has been researching low-level hardware and firmware security.

Wim is a GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) and a member of the SANS Advisory Board. In Holland Wim contributes to the education of the new generation "digital detectives", and is a frequent speaker at different kinds of lectures regarding forensic investigations.
Wim worked for more than 12 years at the Dutch Public Broadcast Corporation (Nederlandse Omroep Stichting, N.O.S.) in multiple roles, including responsibilities on Security and Availability. The last years of his period at N.O.S. Wim was responsible as manager for the whole chain of systems taking care of the production, planning and real-time broadcasting of TV, Radio and IP programs. During his more than 20 years of experience in his profession Wim has designed, programmed, reviewed and managed a wide range of tools, applications and technical systems varying from videogames to web-based business applications. As a very experienced programmer Wim specialises in (web-) application and database forensics in various languages and technologies.
Wim holds a MSc in computer science from the Vrije University and specialised in operating systems, compilers and computer languages. He published a master thesis called "A Fully Interactive Context Free Language Parser"
